Trust and transparency
Methodology
ShipReady explains its calculations and document logic so users understand what the tools can help with, where assumptions are used, and what must still be confirmed before shipment.
How shipment calculations are performed
ShipReady uses the dimensions, quantities, weights and units entered by the user to calculate CBM, shipment weight totals, volumetric weight and planning estimates. CBM is calculated from package dimensions and package count. Chargeable weight estimates compare total gross weight with volumetric weight using the selected divisor.
How assumptions are handled
Where a tool needs a practical default, ShipReady uses clearly labelled defaults such as USD for currency, PCS for product unit, cm for dimensions and kg for weight. Users can change these values before generating documents or messages.
How document outputs are generated
Commercial invoices, packing lists, quote messages and shipment summaries are generated from the details entered in the form. Optional fields are omitted when blank so documents do not include empty example values or blank labels.
How limitations are communicated
Tool pages include notes explaining that carrier rules, customs requirements, HS classification, loading constraints and final freight charges vary by shipment. ShipReady is designed for preparation and review, not final customs, tax, legal or carrier approval.
How users should verify final requirements
Before booking or submitting documents, users should confirm final document requirements, carrier billing methods, customs classification, permits and destination rules with a freight forwarder, customs broker, carrier or relevant authority.
